Abstract
In this paper an experimental test bed for the measurement of RFID tag antennas, inside pipes filled with liquids, is presented. The test bed has been specifically designed to characterize fixed or mobile tags, deployed in distribution pipes to monitor their conditions. Applying some hydraulic tricks, it is possible to connect the antenna to an external network analyser even if the liquid in the pipe is under pressure. Finally a fast method to measure the radiation efficiency of such an antenna is proposed.
