Abstract :
Using transducers is the most common way for underwater wireless communication, and the sound field formed around its source is the most important index in this technique. In this paper, two types of transducer sources used in UTDCS (Underwater Target Detection Communication System) are present, and the computer simulations about their sound field are finished. The BEM (Boundary Element Method) is the theoretic foundation of the simulation. The corresponding tests finished in the anechoic tank show that the computer simulations based on BEM are intuitionistic and accurate, so it is suitable to analyze the underwater sound field. Its analysis provides a satisfying insight of the transducers´ performance. More farther conclusion is that this simulation technique has the universal applicability for the sound field analysis of the diverse underwater transducers.
