Abstract :
Based on the high peak to average power ratio of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing systems, several methods of reducing the peak to average power ratio were analyzed. Then a method based on Golay complementary sequences was proposed to realize the low peak to average power ratio. The high peak to average power ratio sequences were encoded into Golay complementary sequences, peak to average power ratio of which were no more than 3dB. For the proposed encoding scheme, an efficient decoding algorithm based on fast Hadamard transform was investigated. The results of system simulation showed that the peak to average power ratio was lowered and BER performance was better. The encoding and decoding algorithms had simplicity and feasibility.
