The Research and Application of an ETL Model Based on Task

The focus of this paper is to develop an ETL model for financial data integration. This model of metadata-driven utilizing the method of the combination of coding and commercial tools implements a task model which is the core of the ETL model. The task model adopts a flexible mode to divide the entire assignment and constitute some basic tasks which do not have interaction with each other. As a result, each basic task can be completed particularly. So the ETL model is able to adapt to the complicated and harsh data environment of the financial system (especially bank system). Meanwhile, exception handling module and system log module guarantee the robustness of the system. Practical application shows that this ETL model meet demands well.
