Abstract :
Small colloidal silver nanoparticles were prepared by hydrothermal process of Ag-1,3,5 benzenetricarboxylate (Ag-1,3,5 BTC) solution, which was prepared by the reaction with AgNO3 and 1,3,5 benzenetricarboxylic acid in aqueous solution. The well-dispersed Ag nanoparticles were produced by autoclave at 130degC. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) images of Ag nanoparticles showed well dispersed and spherical formation, demonstrating the uniformity of these nanoparticles. Energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectrum showed pure Ag nanoparticle and X-ray diffractometer (XRD) peaks of the nanoparticle showed the crystalline nature of the Ag structure. The finding suggested that hydrothermal induced assembly of small silver colloidal nanoparticles should be a convenient and effective approach to the preparation of silver nanoparticles.
