Abstract :
Presents the results of a software study of multiple co-channel interferers in a digital system employing gaussian minimum shift keying (GMSK) modulation with a bandwidth data-rate product of BT 0.3. The bit error rate (BER) performance was determined in the Rayleigh fading environment typically encountered in mobile radio systems. The investigation showed that as the number of interferers with equal power, is doubled, the value of S/I is approximately increased by 3 dB. The results also show that when the BER is presented as a function of the total S/I levels, it is seen to be independent of the number of interferers. BER measurements with 6 co-channel interferers of varying power levels are also considered and they give a similar performance to that of equal power interferers. Finally, the results of a fixed value of S/I in a Rayleigh fading channel, with additive Gaussian noise are featured
