Abstract
Landscape Ecology is a new field of the macro-ecological research. Based on the principle of landscape ecology and supported by 3S technology, the landscape pattern of land use in Qichun County is quantitatively analyzed in this paper. This study mainly uses the data collected by GPS and the ERDAS IMAGINE 9.1 to deal with the satellite remote sensing image data of Indian IRS P6 in 2OO5. Then uses Arcgis 9.0 to draw the boundary and endow each subcompartment with an attribute value and build the database directly in Geodatabase. Finally gets the landscape and patch and distributed figure through topological relations and analyzes the patch characters and landscapes differences, the obtained result shows that, firstly, the main types of land use are woodland, followed by farmland, water area, and township and village constructions in 2005. Both of the adversity and fractal dimension are low, but the dominance index is high. Secondly, the diversity of the central and southern areas in the county is more complex than the northern areas, but the dominance index of the latter is higher.
