Abstract :
This paper introduces a telemonitoring system using the real-time audio/video transmission technology. This system is based on a P2P(Peer-to-Peer) network topologic. Utilizing the Windows Audio API functions and VFW toolbox, the audio/video signals are transferred, too. The experiment results show that not only the system implements real-time physiological parameters monitoring, but also the face to face communication between the doctor and the patient is available.
