Abstract :
Describes a conformal line-array of microstrip patches suitable for use as a building block for a conformal 2D-array. The intended application of the 2D-array required it to be conformal to a section of a cylinder and to operate at 35 GHz. The design and measured performance of individual rectangular patches and line-arrays of patches are described. Special reference is made to the novel use of a microwave linear simulator CAD package for microstrip patch modelling
