Abstract
This paper evaluates congestion management in different deregulated electricity industries. Based on existing methods, it explains and illustrates how congestion is managed under privatisation. A numerical example is utilised to manifest the principle involved. Their effects and implications on social optimum and economic efficiency are also discussed
