Abstract :
Products, such as aircrafts, automobiles and ships, possess smooth and complex configuration which are modified frequently. The geometric configuration quality of curves and surfaces affects their function and artistic design. So it is important to set up a CAD/CAM system in which a product configuration is defined and the above requirements are satisfied. However, the existing systems are rather unsuitable for that purpose. In this paper, a parametric design method with intelligence configuration analysis mechanism is offered, which can describe curves, surfaces and solids rapidly. This method can suit engineering designers and meet requirements for rapid modification
