Abstract :
The Project54 system integrates electronic devices in police cruisers and provides a speech user interface and a GUI. It also incorporates the original user interfaces provided by the devices´ manufacturers. We evaluate how the different interfaces are used by officers in the field and report on three lessons on designing in-car user interfaces.
