Abstract :
Polycrystalline silicon thin film solar cells with the best efficiency of 6.36% and 4.5% have been fabricated on low cost SSP (silicon sheets from powder) substrates made from high purity and low purity silicon powder respectively. Characteristics of these substrates, processing conditions and the cells´ performance are discussed.
