  • Abstract
There is extensive engineering application of lime-soil cushion in Northwest China where loess distributes broadly. Lime-soil cushion is one of the foundation treatment methods which are used early and extensively in this area. Carrying on the study on quality evaluation methods of lime-soil cushion has important meanings to the reliability and economy of engineering construction of the loess area. Through analyzing the existing engineering data and examples, the common quality evaluation methods of lime-soil cushion such as static load test, penetration test, compaction factor test, lime-soil ratio measurement and so on are discussed. The current application of these methods is stated and the existing problems are analyzed. In the end, put forward some corresponding improvement proposal and research directions.
