Abstract
Currently, information overload has become a serious concern. However, in the near future, with the development and application of next generation Internet based on IPv6 and multimedia data compress techniques, the overloading problem may be even worsen that people would find them lost in the ocean of multimedia data. Urban traffic video systems for monitoring and intelligence collection is a very good example for those situations. Especially, as problems of anti-terrorism and criminal activities get more and more serious, the pubic security problem brings great challenges for governments. So in this paper, based on IPv6 and multimedia data mining techniques, a framework for global monitoring and security system is proposed. It can help people to complete work for public security and even individual security by using online multimedia data analysis and offline multimedia data mining techniques.
