Abstract :
In this paper, an algorithm for fuzzy control is presented which is based on the shortest path framework. A fuzzy control system is considered to comprise of a production system with fuzzy propositions representing its states and the fuzzy rules representing state transitions. The algorithm achieves the optimality in the system by finding the reasoning path in a directed acyclic graph representing the system. The reasoning path gives the relationship between the initial state and the goal state leading to the highest fuzzy value to the goal state. The highest fuzzy value is obtained by the shortest path framework working on the modus ponen of fuzzy logic
