Abstract :
Embedded operation system is unnecessary for all the embedded system whose structure and function are simple. In this case all drivers of hardware must be written by programmers. In order to increase the portability and reusability of the hardware design and the software design, this paper proposes the concept of Hardware Building Block (HBB) and Software Building Block (SBB). HBB is divided into three types: Core HBB, Middle HBB and End HBB. SBB is divided into Top SBB and Bottom SBB (including Inner Bottom SBB and Outer Bottom SBB). The paper studies the development method of the embedded system based on them and presents the hierarchy between them.
