Abstract :
Summary form only. In this paper, a presentation was highlighted on wireless electronic link to brain via implantable active microchip. This work was focused on recording and deciphering signals from motor cortex of neurons for specific motor task. Power requirements for chip implantation in brain were integrated to microscale neural probes within the skin and multichannel telemetry "broadcasting" neural signals were discussed. Microelectronics and photonics applications, and, encapsulation packaging techniques were also reviewed and discussed.
