Abstract :
In this paper, we present an approach for e-Allotment for admissions in educational institutes by putting the varied logic into the database. The optimization is applied to enhance the performance of e-Allotment algorithm. To eliminate the possibility of errors in the allotment process, the pre-allotment and post-allotment diagnostic methods are used. Various reports generated by these diagnostic methods help the user to analyze the allotment process with respect to violation in merit rank of the candidate and vacant seats. The proposed algorithm is tested for allotment of seats in virtual environment.
