Millimetre wave technology for collision avoidance and cruise control

With the degree of electronics present within automobiles (cars, lorries, etc.) increasing, and with the development of cruise control, and subsequently, collision avoidance systems, it is natural to apply millimetre wave radar technology to this application. The authors describe the way that the technology developed for millimetre wave systems has now been further enhanced and used in a vehicle mounted application allowing a cruise control system to be implemented.
