Abstract :
The 10th of June, 2011 is the eightieth birthday of the well-known expert in the field of creation of adaptive electric devices and sensor systems for control parameters of technological processes and environment, Dr. Sci. Tech., Professor Yuriy Alekseyevich Skripnik. Mr. Skripnik was born in 1931 in Lugansk. In 1948 he graduated a secondary school with a gold medal and entered Kiev Polytechnic Institute. In 1957 he started his postgraduate study in Kiev Polytechnic Institute. In 1961 at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute he was appointed to a candidate of science degree. His teaching activity started at Kiev Polytechnic Institute in 1960 as an assistant, then a senior lecturer. In 1964-1971 he was occupied with research activities in Institute of Electrodynamics of Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. In 1968 he defended his Doctor´s dissertation in Kiev Polytechnic Institute, and earned Dr. Sci. Tech. degree in 1969. In 1971 he was elected in Kiev Institute of Technology of Light Industry as a head of department of Electrical Engineering, and since 1972 - as a head of department of Automation and Complex Mechanization of Technological Processes. He occupied this post till 2000. In 1973 received an academic degree of the professor. Now Mr. Skripnik occupies an active social position, gives lectures on subject matters, supervises over state budgetary research works, trains postgraduate students, masters and bachelors, is the supervisor of studies of student´s scientific conference.
