Abstract
Encryption is used in order to achieve confidentiality in today´s and future IT systems. However, the security of commonly used encryption methods depends on unproven assumptions. Thus, due to unforeseeable advances in computing power and cryptanalysis, current state-of-the-art encryption schemes (RSA and AES for example) might be broken without premonition. Furthermore, all currently applied public key encryption schemes will become insecure as soon as quantum computers are available [1]. We propose an infrastructural solution called Perfect Confidentiality Network, to allow information theoretically secure key agreement. The keys can either be used for One Time Pad encryption providing perfect confidentiality or as keys for symmetric encryption thus providing resistance against quantum computers.
