Abstract :
Plant modeling is an important part of plant growth simulation and visualization, while the leaf is a critical morphological characteristic of plants. In this paper, we gave the whole process of fast modeling based on images. As to get the clear and integrate leaves contour, this paper transplanted the classic Sobel operator into GPU, and designed a heuristic algorithm to repair the broken edge. We also design an efficient algorithm for selecting feature points, and simplify the traditional Delaunay triangulation algorithm. It was proved by experiment that the whole algorithm is simple and efficient. The three-dimensional leaf model has natural morphology and also provides a good material for the virtual plant.
