Abstract :
In this paper we propose a current regulator for an IMPATT oscillator with protection of the IMPATT diode from a load throw-off. The IMPATT oscillator operates in the 5-mm wave band. Its output power is greater than 50mW. The circuit for measuring the output resistance of the current regulator versus frequency has been developed. The current regulator provides current of 70-120mA across the load; switch on time is less than 0.1μs, output resistance is 2.45kΩ at 1 MHz.
