Abstract :
A Field Programmable Analog Arrays (FPAA) architecture, which is dedicated to analog signal processing, is introduced. It is based on a simple current-mode primitive which allows for operation at high frequencies and low voltage, and can be implemented in a digital CMOS process. An architectural solution to avoid using excessive number of programming devices in the signal path is proposed. We have demonstrated through simulations that the proposed FPAA can be programmed to operate over two decade (from several tens of kHz to a few MHz). Experimental results, which demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method, are included
