Abstract
Summary form only given. We study fcc photonic crystals assembled to include surface plasmons to the propagation picture. The structure, made of 10 mm polypropylene and steel spheres, was scaled to match the wavelength of microwave radiation in the 5-15 GHz range. Steel spheres were placed in a next-nearest-neighbor distribution throughout the crystal.
