Abstract :
Cluster formation and cluster head selection are important problems in sensor network applications and can drastically affect the networkpsilas communication energy dissipation. However, the selection of cluster head is not easy in different environments which may have different characteristics. In this paper, in order to deal with this problem we propose a power reduction algorithm for sensor networks based on fuzzy logic and number of neighbor nodes. We evaluate the proposed system by simulations and show that proposed system makes a good selection of the cluster head.
