Abstract
The authors have demonstrated the potential of multilevel acousto-optically reconstructed phase holograms in the generation of reconfigurable optical interconnection patterns. The practical limitations to pattern complexity and the maximum compression ratio are determined by the speed of the electronics and, ultimately, by the Bragg bandwidth of the deflector
