Abstract :
Nowadays, design of complex product is becoming more important but more difficult to achieve it. The increasing complexity of products and services offered by online stores and electronic marketplaces makes the identification of appropriate solutions a challenging task. Customers can differ greatly in their expertise and level of knowledge w.r.t. such product assortments. The distributed collaborative design for complex product is a new mode based on concurrent engineering and multidisciplinary collaborative design, using various domains of CAX / DFX. At present, the most advanced collaborative technology in the world is based on the service-oriented architecture (SOA). According to the theory of intelligent engineering, this paper presents a novel definition - meta-service system, whose core is meta-service resources. Based on meta-service system, this paper gives a distributed collaborative design platform for complex product. Take the design and development of the railway bogies as an example to demonstrate the application and advancement of the new platform.
