Abstract
Radar operating in High pulse repetition frequency (HPRF) suffers eclipsing loss because of high duty cycle. Multi PRF systems are able to reduce eclipsing loss but proper selections of PRF´s are necessary to minimize Eclipsing loss as low as possible with the given specification (duty cycle, range, maximum relative velocity of target, etc). Proposed algorithm for selection of multi-HPRF´s try to fill eclipse region in eclipsing cycle, i.e. target is uneclipsed by at least one PRF in the eclipsing cycle. By proper PRF switching, set of these PRF´s gives almost zero eclipsing loss.
