  • Abstract
With the promotion of ubiquitous computing, it is the interesting research to integrate RFID technology with virtual reality. In this paper, we take the Class 2 national monument, the first educational institute in northern Taiwan - Tamsui Oxford College (Mackay Museum) as the example, to develop a 3D virtual tour system that supports RFID localization. This paper proposes the new adaptive RFID positioning mechanisms combing the virtual tour system, when user carries notebook or mobile device walking in the true scene, the system can update user´s position in the virtual scene immediately. In addition, when user moves around the special historical objects, system can further trigger the special show incident which reminds the user and let user experiences the special history relic and incident deeply.
