Research on the Coordinated Development of Logistics Industry and Economy in Hebei Province

This paper intends to elaborate and explain the relationship between logistics and economy during the nineteen years from 1990 to 2009 in Hebei Province and to put forward several suggestions on the coordinated development of the logistics industry and the economy, using the scientific approach of empirical analysis. Logistics industry not only plays a fundamental role in regional economy, but also determines the economic operation speed and efficiency of that area. Then this paper puts forward several suggestions to coordinate the development of logistics and economy, by the construction of regression model and elastic model, such as planning as a whole and creating a logistics structure featuring “one area, two channels and three types of convergence zones”, strengthening the supply capacity of modern logistics industry to meet the needs of economic development, etc.
