Abstract :
Most of the techniques for analyzing image sequences have two weak points in common: they are computationally expensive, and they are sensitive to noise. To avoid these defects, we propose a new method which uses a color multiplex image in analyzing a color sequence. A color multiplex image is a single image made by temporally multiplexing all the frames in a sequence. First we make a color multiplex image and then we do the automatic and efficient statistic analysis of the chromatic information in this single image. Thus we can restore information about the motion in the original sequence. The experimental results for laboratory scenes are presented to reveal the effectiveness of this method
