Abstract :
The authors describe a slant path propagation experiment involving an 11.196 GHz CW beacon emanating from the INTELSAT V F-7 satellite, and a diamond antenna receiver at Goonhilly. Measurements of attenuation, enhancement, sky noise temperature and cross-polarisation discrimination (XPD) were made over a period of 34 months. Statistical results are given for scintillation, rain fading, XPD and scintillation spectra
