Abstract :
A rail-to-rail CMOS input stage is presented with its transconductance nearly independent of the common-mode (CM) level. Since its operation does not rely on an analytical square law, it has less dependency on the process and is applicable to deep sub-micron technologies. A high bandwidth op amp is proposed based on this transconductance, which features rail-to-rail input as well. The amplifier exhibits full swing across the power supply range
