Abstract :
The paper builds a set of growth index system of Chinese listed small and medium manufacturing enterprises (SMEs), and conducts empirical research applying the improved principal component projection method. Then we obtains the following conclusions: (1) the listed manufacturing SMEs are mainly made up by labor-intensive enterprises, (2) the listed manufacturing SMEs are generally experiencing the relatively low growing capability, and the average growing capability of the capital-intensive enterprises is the most weak and the capability of labor-intensive enterprises is the strongest, (3) the majority of labor-intensive enterprises rank relatively high, while the technology-intensive ones gather in the moderate area, and most of the technology-intensive ones fall behind. Then, this paper put forward some suggestions on improving enterprise growing capability through analysis those situations.
