Abstract :
A new approach to automatic fingerprint identification system for a small sized database, such as personal information security, is presented in this paper. Compared with previously reported approaches, this one is implemented with pure hardware without the presence of PCs, and the algorithm is simple and suitable for ASIC implementation. The details of the algorithm and some experimental results are discussed and analyzed. Finally, the architecture of the ASIC is presented
