Abstract
In forward looking infrared (FLIR), to save volume and weight, it would be interesting to replace a doublet by a hybrid lens which is a refractive lens with a surface diffractive element engraved on one of its faces. A diffractive/refractive zinc sulfide doublet and a zinc selenide hybrid lens have been realized by diamond turning. MTFs and diffraction efficiencies close to the theory have been measured
