Abstract :
The advanced characteristics of the RADARSAT-2 SAR satellite are briefly described and the main features of the Science and Operational Applications Research for RADARSAT-2 Program (SOAR) are outlined. Two case studies are then taken into account, which have been developed in the framework of SOAR project 1488, a vine observing experiment and a flooding monitoring one.
