Abstract :
We present the properties of mesh polarizers based on the foiled polyimide films and thin metallic slides for EH (Extremely High) and THz frequency ranges, which have excellent specifications. Typical values of transmission of the mesh polarizers in the directions perpendicular and parallel to the electric field vector were -30 dB and -0.2...0.3 dB, respectively, for the width of the wires equal to 18 microns and a pitch of the mesh equal to 50 microns. The developed technology may also be used for making such quasi-optical components as band-pass, high-pass, low-pass filters, etc., for EH and THz frequency ranges.
