Abstract :
From the aim of water resource input-output analysis in the development of industry, the paper designs a maneuverable method to tabulate the water resource input-output table, by redefining the water resource. Then the models of direct water use coefficient, total water use coefficient and water use multiplier are established on the basis of water resource input-output table. At last, the models are demonstrated in Ningxia region, which is one of the aridest regions in China. The result indicates that agriculture uses the most water, and due to the high concealment of indirect water use, when industry water use analyzed, the single direct water use coefficient can´t totally weigh water demand of an industry, the water use character of an industry should be distinguished exactly, so as to offer decision-making support for arid regions to make reasonable strategies of industry development. It´s a pity that water quality is not considered in the paper, which needs further research.
