Abstract :
The mission of imaging is not considered in existing resource scheduling policies of the multifunction phased array radar (MFPAR) which usually need to separate a fixed part of resources for imaging. Cognitive imaging is introduced firstly, and then a novel adaptive scheduling algorithm is proposed, which is based on sparse-aperture cognitive ISAR imaging. In the proposed algorithm, MFPAR could track, search and achieve cognitive imaging simultaneously, thus it can significantly improve the efficiency of the radar. Simulations are given to validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
