Abstract :
In order to study the influence of molecular structure features on their supramolecular organization in the bulk samples and thin films 10 new meso-substituted tetraphenylporphine derivatives and their metal complexes with substitution in para - or ortho-positions (-OC4H9 or -OC16H33) were examined. The dependence of mesomorphic properties of bulk samples from the structure of porphyrins and the position of substituents, their supramolecular organization in thin films and the absorption spectra of Langmuir-Blodgett films in the visible region were studied.
