Abstract

This paper presents circuit emulation service in a centralized B-NT system. This system is designed to provide B-NT2 functions of ITU-T reference model. It can provide the broadband video distribution, high speed data communications, video on demand, and so on. It can provide circuit emulation service by substituting a DS3/El circuit emulation service block (CESB) for a physical block. The CESB performs segmentation and reassembly (SAR) and convergence sublayer (CS) functions as described in the ITU-T 1.363.1 and ATM Forum circuit emulation service interoperability specification
