Abstract
This paper addresses the implementation of CLAD (cell assembler/disassembler) for VTOA (voice and telephony over ATM) services. Implemented CLAD supports 128 simultaneous connections, n×64 kbps multi-bit rate, and partially filled cell structure. Some numerical examples are shown to evaluate the performance of CLAD. The resultant CLAD could be utilized for various applications in the ATM switching system, such as, interworking with existing PSTN and N-ISDN
