Abstract
Catnip Audio is a small group of musicians and coders from the UK, US, and who have joined to work on a new music program project titled ReTrack. ReTrack is a music entry system based initially on the trackers of the Internet music scene, but expanded to include a comprehensive set of MIDI functions as well as incorporate MPEG-4 Structured Audio Orchestra Language (SAOL) and Structured Audio Score Language (SASL). MPEG-4 Structured Audio support is not planned until later versions, though we continue to track the progress of Structured Audio and do our best to ensure our current system will be compatible with the MPEG-4 Audio standard once it is completely finalized and viable for us to implement. The intent of ReTrack is to be a musician´s complete toolbox for composition and performance from beginning to end, and MPEG-4 Audio appears to be the perfect avenue to accomplish this goal
