Abstract
We have performed the simulation of switching of magnetization in a ferromagnetic single-domain particle, when it is heated by a single impulse of laser radiation. It is shown that switching of magnetization is accompanied by damped microwave oscillations with a duration of a few nanoseconds. The frequency, the duration and a mode of these oscillations depend on geometrical sizes, the crystallographic orientation and the initial temperature of a disk.
