Abstract :
In a new approach to imaging structure the authors have studied the antenna as a passive scattering from the point of view of its radar cross-sections (RCS). In this mode, the antenna response to an incident wavefront is dependent on its load. An expression for the scattered field has been formulated. They investigate the possibilities for image diagnostics based on measurement of the antenna scattered field. The aim is to produce volumetric images of the antenna without reliance on aperture plane assumptions and to identify scattering sources which contribute to the RCS
