Abstract
The miniaturization of electronics for wireless applications has experienced a tremendous progress in recent years and is today one of the most challenging playgrounds in the semiconductor industry for the development of mixed-signal analog-digital integrated systems. The definition of the interface between the analog and digital domains, from RF to baseband, plays a fundamental role in the overall system partitioning for it influences the part count of the complete solution, the implementation technologies, power dissipation and, of course, overall production cost
