Abstract
Summary form only given. An optical vortex is a spiral dislocation of the phase front that has a helical phase ramp around a phase singularity. The order of the singularity multiplied by its sign is referred to as the topological charge of the vortex. The propagation of the singular light beams in nonlinear media exhibits a large variety of phenomena. In this report the results of the theoretical and experimental investigations of the noncollinear interaction (degenerate four-wave mixing) of two singular beams in Kerr nonlinear medium are presented.
